Trade symbol: OM-16
Producer: Fabryka Sprzętu Ratunkowego i Lamp Górniczych FASER w Tarnowskich Górach
Description and photos
The MK-212/1 is a full-head or helmet/hood style mask designed for use in chemical industry with filtering appliances or open circuit isolating apparatuses. This model is almost identical to MK-221 with a main difference (in later MK-212/1 versions) being an additional lense support ring.
The name change from MK-221 to MK-212/1 was dictated by PN-78/Z-02006 standard introduced in 1979. In official FASER documentation this changed occured in December, 1983. Sizing is identical as in MK-221. In both cases the instruction manual does not mention the 0 size, despite such specimens existing.
The mask's factory kit consisted of a mask itself, an instruction manual, a manufacture label with date of production and a price and an anti-fog cloth.
