Description and photos
MK-221 is a full-head or helmet/hood style mask designed for chemical industry for use with filtering appliances or open circuit isolating apparatuses. Despite first appearing in official FASER documents around the February, 1976 the examples from year 1975 were seen sporting a reversed valve chamber. FASER has no information about such specimens. My theory is they were prototypes.
The mask's factory kit consisted of a mask itself, an instruction manual, a manufacture label with date of production and price and an anti-fog pencil.
