Description and photos
W-63P is a multi-hour oxygen apparatus designed for use in mining rescue operations and chemical industry. It differs from a W-63 slightly - in W-63P a manometer is mounted on a hose, thus allowing the user to monitor the oxygen tank pressure without the need of other's person assitance.
The apparatus is contained in a sheet metal container with a carrying harness and isolating pads to improve comfort when carrying. Inside, on the bottom an oxygen tank is located. The tank is connected to the valve assembly. Above the tank a breathing bag is placed with the breathing automaton lever mounted on the stub - when the bag depresses during the deep breaths the level actuates the automaton allowing for an increased oxygen dosing. The carbon dioxide absorber is mounted on a metal bed with two connectors for connecting it to the exhaled air port from one side and a breathing bag on another.
